A relaxing stay to end our 7 days Singapore tour. I opted to stay here as it is close to Changi Airport. To avoid the rush and hassle of hailing a cab and traveling to airport, I thought it’s better to book a hotel close to the airport. This hotel though is literally AT the airport 😉 coolest thing ever!
From the Azur restaurant where we had a sumptuous dinner and breakfast, a few steps away is the hall to terminal 3. How cool is that?! This will now be part of our trips, to end the tour to an airport hotel or at least nearest hotel. 😉
The hotel is very cozy. I love Crowne Plaza Hotels because of the color scheme they choose 😆 It’s like a resort type where no carpets on the hall. The swimming pool is extraordinary. It is surrounded with trees (as in most of Singapore) so it’s really relaxing.
On check-in we were offered free drinks which can be collected at the bar or restau.
The hotel room I was given is huge. I think we were upgraded because I’m a gold elite member of IHG. 🙂 The bathroom is very spacious with glass wall so you can still watch TV even when you’re relaxing on the bath tub. As in everywhere in Singapore though, the bathroom still has not bidet. So if you’re travelling with little children, best to bring a portable one.
The pillows are fluffy and soft, clean beddings, and a cozy mattress that can really give you a good night sleep.
I noticed most hotels in Singapore where we stayed offers a free smart phone. So no need for you to buy a local sim if you’re not staying there for a long time. The smart phone has 4G so you can access maps even when on the road.
We booked a buffet dinner at Azur Restaurant since there was an offer of $25 / head only. Glad we did! There was a wide spread of choices, even my little one enjoyed, most especially the dessert table. 🙂 Compared to Dubai, the food in Singapore is way cheaper.
The food is fresh and delicious. There were live cooking stations as well. Fresh mussels, shrimps and crab. For the price they offered, it’s really cheap!
The hotel staff are friendly and accommodating. I forgot to take the name of the concierge who assisted us on check-in, but he is really helpful. I think most guests that stay here are travelers – tourist and business people so the staff are all trained well and can professionally accommodate your requests.
The room rate was reasonable. It’s on the mid-range. I think I was able to get a good offer at the time of booking. It’s good to check directly at hotel websites to get promotions. Most hotels offer monthly promotions or tourist offers.
I recommend you guys stay here when in Singapore.
