Time is flying and seriously it’s scary at times!
It has been more than 2 months since I last posted here but it only feels like yesterday. Talk about being a busy-bee! Work has been really hectic since I came back from vacation last April. So my weekends are really spent relaxing and having fun with family especially my little kulet. We’ve been hotel hopping during weekends, taking advantage of the off-peak rates for most of hotels here in the sandpit.
I don’t know if it’s just here, just me or the time is really passing by so quickly without us really noticing it. The hustle and bustle of our corporate life is sometimes overpowering the simple life I think we all should have. You know, like spending time reading your favorite book, sitting down by the beach admiring the sunrise or sunset with birds chirping and cold wind blowing, having coffee at your porch watching raindrops or kids playing in the street (imagining I’m in the Philippines). Ahhhhhhh I want another vacation. LOL. This adult-family life is really something! ha!
I remember when I was a child, all I think of was what time will I be allowed to go out so I can play with my friends or what did my grandma prepared for snack 🙂 In school, I worry about the next day quiz, the periodical exams, the reports, thesis or when can I save enough for our next kada get-away. Now, I think about mortgage, school tuition, groceries, retirement, savings, investments, etc. etc. all these things that make one person crazy! I’m not that old but I always wish the way of living back in the old days will come back, like 19640’s, 1960’s or even 1980’s. Life is less complicated. People don’t spend too much time at work. People spend actually ‘talking’ to each other, face-to-face, not via…this! gadgets, tablets, phones, computers even robots. Fashion, hobbies, games are not as complicated as what we have now. People has really evolved, sooo quickly. Most of the times, we tend to forget to appreciate every second of our day. We ran OUT of time. We run after time. We deprive ourselves with enough sleep because of work, a time to exercise or meditate to recharge our body, some parents even miss a lot of their children’s milestones because they are too occupied with work not wanting to miss the opportunity to miss their deadline because their promotion depends on it. Wow! Oh well, I guess that’s really ‘life’ is now. But I don’t want it to be mine.
No matter how busy work will be, I will never miss any of my kulet’s milestones, I will spend a lot of time with my family investing in our memory banks. I will AGAIN, stop and watch ants or bugs on the ground 🙂 I will sleep more, play more, TRAVEL more, be more friendly, smile more, be kind, PRAY even more and be thankful for this busy-wonderful-precious Life He gave me.
And with that, I will blog more. 🙂 I promise!
Let’s spend every second of this wonderful life on earth happily, wisely and worry-free.
